Ya'll I missed summer

DSCF0060

Were in the world did summer go? I don't think it even happened. Did it? I barely remember 4th July and BAM it's the Boys birthday. Which was yesterday. Which falls in Autumn. How did that happened? I think it's because I've been hiding out inside all summer. Didn't do any of those summery things I wanted to do. Like gardening. But such is life.

But I have noticed something. Twice within the last month I have said "ya'll". Which I know many will say "so?" You don't understand. I'm consider as a one of those Yankees. You just don't say "ya'll" when your one of those Yankees. Don't ask me why. I don't make the rules. It's just the way it is. Now don't get me wrong. I have nothing against anyone saying it. After all my Ma says it. She's been saying it long before my huge feet started stomping around this Earth. In fact I think it's cute when a Southern says "ya'll". But when I say it, well there is nothing cute about it. A girl who has a Northern accent with a touch of Canadian accent saying "ya'll" sounds very..... what's the word I'm looking for..... I think weird is the word. Yeah, weird. Out of place. In fact it sounds like I'm mocking people when I say it. Which I'm not of course. But you see I come from a place were our version of "ya'll" is "you guys".

So, I've been trying to make the side bars of this blog less bogged down with junk. Been going good so far. But one problem. The tags/labels. Oh my, oh my, oh my..... My tag list goes on and on forever. But I found where you can make the tag cloud thingie. I set it up. Took a look at my blog to make sure it looks right. The tag cloud overflowed over into the main area of the blog blocking part of the entries. That my Dear is a problem of course. So any ideas on how to compact, shorten, what have you that sucka.

So, yesterday was the Bots B-day. And we did nothing amazing for it. Should of. But didn't. Unless you consider taking his car in to get to the shop for it to be worked and then taking the Dart home to be amazing.

Secretly, I love riding the rails here. All the people that come and go. All the places you see. What have you. I think anywhere I live, if they have a rail system of some form, I'll for sure ride on it. Love love love it. My favorite of all rails being Amtrak. Love'em.

Which that is about the only picture I have of him that he isn't running, rolling around, or getting into trouble. He was a puppy. What more can you expect.
Sorry about the cute pup overload.
And I've been bitten with the knitting and crocheting bug lately. Hopefully soon I will have photographic evidence of that soon.

50 random questions

So, I figure I really haven't much to say lately so why not take a random survey. Never done one of these for my blog. Never been a fan doing them for here. But hey there's a first for everything, right?
Also, I think it's about time that I updated my picture on here. You know the one on the side *wildly points with both hands both sides of the blog* I think it's on the left..... Yup, left.
Oh and I've been having random dreams about high school. Each one at some point I'm trying to get to this guy that I knew in high school. Well, I didn't know know him. I knew of him. He was quite and never talked. I'm assuming he was shy. Anyways, in the dreams I need to tell him something but I never get to him for one reason or another. I'm assuming it's my subconscious mind messing with me. Cause, I wanted to get to know him back then. But he seemed so shy I didn't want to freak him out so I never did. And he seemed like interesting and nice too. But for other stuff in the dreams like can't find my locker, missing the bus. I think it's the whole feeling like I missed out on my life's journey/personal growth, having insecurities about my role/position in life and stuff, needing to learn about life and all that, need to find my spiritual path, life meaning, what have you. You know everything that my dreams have been telling me. Oh and need to let go of my past and past demons. You know all that good stuff. What I like to call, needing a vacation back home. Cause you know so I can get past my past demons and stuff..... Yeah..... It's a start!

3. Have you ever eaten a crayon?
kinda funny story there. Well, maybe not fall over funny. Anyways, around 4th grade, I think, I was thinking how most kids at some point eat a crayon, or so I heard. But I didn't, at least from what I could remember. And since eating a crayon seemed like some time honored thing I decided I needed to jump in on this. So, I grabbed a crayon. A shade of blue I think. Took a bite, chewed it, thought well this taste like nothing, spit it out, and wondered what the big deal was. So, ok. I didn't eat it. So, I'm not exactly in the crayon eating club. But I'm certainly a honorary person, whatever you call it.

So, we head out to a field and woods near by. Someone saw us walking out towards that way and called the cops thinking we did it. It was just before dark when they called. But then we went back driving back at night. The cop pulled us over, he comes walking up. It's night he can't see from his car the face paint. Anyways, he walks up, looks, and had a really confused look on his face. Thank you, thank you very much

Staying in bed

It finally happened. First time in months that I slept threw the whole night! Took few days of only few hours of sleep at night then being up for rest of the night. But it finally happened last night. Sure I woke up at 8 from a dream that started out nice then quickly roller coaster to bad. Thank you for the comments and suggestions. I tried most of them and I'm sure that did help a lot towards finally getting a full nights sleep. And trust me, I got a lot of it. Went to bed just before 9 and slept until 8 this morning. Eleven hours of sleep. And it feels great!

mouse Hawk

In news of random I love how on Youtube they have a little tracker thingie on how many videos you've watched. Thanks for letting me know just how many cute kitten videos I've watched, just what I wanted to know, the lack of life I have. And at this moment I have 10,508 videos worth of life lacking. Go me!

books

I like writing. But I have writers block. I know if I can just get those first few words onto paper I'll be rolling. It's just those first few words. Of course for me those first few words can be anywhere in the story. Sometimes beginning, sometimes end, sometimes somewhere in between. Not a clue what to write about either. But I normally don't. Some day I should see about getting some of my writing published. Maybe a book of short stories. Maybe a novel even.

What do you say when there is nothing to say?

Cause that's what my problem is at the moment. I don't know what to say or write for that matter. Then again it doesn't help that I can't sleep at night anymore. So I sleep all day. Ugh! I have no idea what to do about that. I don't do sleeping pills. I just don't. Here's the things I've attempted to do to get some shut eye at night;
- warm showers
- Cold showers
- Day dream myself to sleep (but then again this is what I do every night)
- Zone out
- Stay up all night and day then try to sleep the next night
- Do something really really boring
- Sleep on the other side of the bed
- Sleep with my head at the end of the bed
- Write
- Crochet/knit
- Zone out watching TV/movies
- Pace back and forth
- Edited pictures in hopes it'll bore me to sleep
- Pester friends/family online
- Tried not thinking about it
- Pondered many life's mysteries
Really I'm at my wits end! I don't know what to do. Ideas? Anyways, it's going on 5 in the morning. I think I'm going to attempt a nap. Maybe I'll get lucky and fall asleep tonight! I doubt it.

Googling people, when does it cross the line?

IMG_6878

We've all googled are selves for one reason or another, right? Whether to see what is being said about yourself, vanity, etc. And I'm sure most of us (if not all of us) have googled someone else. Family, significant others, friends, etc. I have googled The Boy, my brother, mother, father, and grandfather. Their myspace, facebook, twitter, things I already know of theirs pops up. What can I say? My family isn't scandalous. Sometimes we want to see if we can find a old friend. I have done that. One old friend couldn't find a thing about, the other one I did. Which turned out great cause now we're back in contact with each other. A old friend of mine even googled me and found me. Which I'm glad he did. It was like we never disappeared from each other. Sadly he passed away few years later. Sometimes we want to find out things about someone before we date them. I understand that. I haven't done that myself (but I guess that's what happens when you're with someone for eight years, back before googling people became the thing to do!) but I can see why others do it. I've heard of stories of people googling potential dates and finding out their married, flipping burgers at their local McD's instead of being president of some top notch company. Not that flipping burgers is bad, I would date a burger flipper, but I wouldn't date a booger flicker nor would I date a liar either, esp. one who thinks he has to flash stuff at me to attract me. I don't roll that way honey! I run from that! Pull up in your rust-o-mobile, McD's uniform, with the lingering smell of fries, and I'll be happy with a sudden craving for fries. Anyways, back on topic. Googling people. Not french fry smelling dates..... At what point does it cross the line? When does it become creepy? When does it become stalker like? Is it ok to google someone you really didn't know in high school? Old flames? Old high school rivals? Someone you barely know now? Someone you know in passing? Your significant others' old flames? Their friends, old or present? Or do some (or all) make it creepy and stalker like? Does it depend on the person? Does it depend on how many times you do it? Does once make it ok? But ten times it's creepy? Does it become creepy when you have to ask if it's creepy? But if that's the case then what about stalkers? I'm sure most never get the "what I'm doing is creepy and wrong!" voice in the back of their mind. What prompts this question you ask? I googled myself (hey, we all do it at some point!). And I came upon this site called PeekYou. Which they have some things wrong. Like the blog, I don't live in Utah. Most of the stuff on there about me you can find on my facebook/myspace with no problem. So, it's not so much that, that bothers me. It's the how easy it is to find that bothers me. Now I know all about internet safety. Which I guess is why they really only have my username, name, age, that I live in somewhere Texas, and a picture of me. But I see so many people who put so much info about themselves out there for the world to see. With the idea of "it won't happen to me" or they say "I know how to be safe" without realize they share a little info here and there. In the long run it adds up. Either with that person your talking too or on a site like that one. It also lead to the question of how about the googler. When does it become creepy on their part? When do they cross the line? Sure you can easily say "well, they put it out there for me to see." But if you sat your wallet (journal, purse, something else private) down on a table, does that give me the right to dig threw it? After all didn't you put it out there for everyone to see?
I would really like others' opinions on this. Where do you drawl the line when you google people? Is everyone fair game? Only people you know really well? Nobody at all? If someone googled you and you knew it, would you be creeped out? What people are you ok with googling you? Family? friends? Boss? Someone you barely know? Someone you met only once? Nobody?

There is something worse then Swine Flu spreading around this area

It's called the mullet. Everywhere I go lately, at least one person has a mullet, sometimes more then one! What in the world is going on? I remember once upon time (post Billy Ray Cyrus mullet era) it was novelty-like when you saw one. We all quietly giggled amongst ourselves in silliness over it. Now, there everywhere. I hate mullets. Their ew. I don't care how much of a party you have going on in back. Just no. their ew.

In my world don't half arse the job and grow only half a head of hair, ok? Either get the guts to grow it all or don't do it at all.

And that's not the worse. Most break and fly towards me. It's scary. I don't get it. But right now it's ok. It's being nice to me..... For the time being..... Oh well. Such as life.

Is it really that hard?

Animated Pictures Myspace Comments

I'm now on a search for two things. The one I've been on a search for for years. It's impossible to find them. And apparently the same for this other thing I just started looking for about half hour ago. Both deal with covering of the feet. The one I've been looking the longest for is pair of vegan boot moccasins that don't have a rubber sole, can be black, brown, tan, sand, or any shades like those. Only vegan ones I have found have a rubber bottom, some even a platform to them. Don't want that. Just your basic non animal hide moccasins that doesn't have a rubber sole in the above mentioned colors. The other is vegan hi-top roller skates. Not roller blades, not low top, not animal hides, etc. Don't really care what color. As long as it's not pink. Now, if the only thing pink on them is the wheels and laces well I can easily swap those out. I just can't honestly see myself in pink roller skates. That's just funny and absurd. Now if someone ever made a pair of purple (any shade of purple), vegan, hi-top roller skates I'll marry them.

I forgot to mention

Mr. Beard

That Mr. Beard (I don't know his name, so that's what I named him) photo is in Schmap Chicago Sixth Edition for this month. Funny, since it's Facial Hair Month. Can't forget it's that time of year again. Even though it's almost over.
